  To read in Tamil click here 👈 Temple of Thevaram Hymns - 5 Kodumudi  Currently known as Kodumudi, this sacred site is one of the most prominent among the Seven Sacred Shiva Temples of Kongu Nadu. It is distinguished by being the abode of the Trinity — Shiva, Vishnu and Brahma — within a single temple complex. This revered site has been glorified through hymns by all three of the primary Saivite saints — Appar, Sambandar and Sundarar. Owing to the presence of three towers, three entrances, three sanctums and being sung by three saints, devotees believe that praying here yields threefold blessings. Kodumudi is also a prominent remedial (parikara) temple in the Kongu region. Among the 274 sacred temples praised in the Thevaram hymns, Kodumudi ranks 213th.
